New interviews: how Sherman got his name and plotting vs. plunging

Thanks to The Book Scout, Book Muncher and Cynthia Leitich Smith for posting brand-new interviews with me:

--Over at The Book Scout, hear how Sherman Golub got his first name and what kind of research I did for the book.

--And at Cynsations, find out whether I'm a "plunger" or "plotter", plus where I find the time to write (still looking for that magical "spare time" store though...)

--Learn which scene in CANDOR was the hardest to write at The Book Muncher

I find CANDOR in the bookstore

First sighting of CANDOR! I found it tonight in a northern Virginia Books-A-Million. I love how the orange of the spine practically jumps off the shelf.

Don't forget my "Caught with CANDOR" contest--so far, nobody has submitted any photos so BOTH prizes are up for grabs!

When I spotted it, I let out a gasp that probably made the other shoppers think there was a rattlesnake emerging from the Teen Readers shelves. Then I got so hyper that I dropped my kid's bucket of toy soldiers that I was carrying, and a kind teen picked it up for me. Even more kindly, she almost entirely managed to suppress the "calm down, crazy lady" look that was fighting to show on her face.  In return, I did not force the book into her hands and shout "I wrote it, you'll love it!".

On Tuesday I'll be cruising the DC area with my Mom, hunting down copies in other stores. This gives me hope that we may find it hanging out on other shelves too!

Shout out to Cyn Balog, fellow Debutante, whose book FAIRY TALE was just two books away from mine!

Review: The Book Scout loves CANDOR

Kelsey over at The Book Scout posted a review of CANDOR today--here's a quote from it: "This book pulled me in and wouldn't let me go until the last page...I think every teen needs to read this book." Thanks Kelsey!
